About Recovery is Beautiful NWPA
Recovery Is Beautiful NWPA started as a project funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).
Our project provides free recovery support services to women and families impacted by opioid use disorder (OUD) and other substance use disorders. Our programs and services offer individuals and families more opportunities to enter and maintain recovery.
The goal of this project is to provide women in Erie, Crawford, and Venango counties with knowledge and resources to help them on their amazing journey of recovery.
This project is a collaboration between Hamot Health Foundation and UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor, Venango County Substance Use Program, and the Crawford County Drug & Alcohol Executive Commission, Inc.
Our project also provides training and continuing education credits for professionals who work with those in recovery.
Recovery Is For Everyone
Substance use disorder impacts everyone around it.
Everyone goes through challenges when someone they care about is dealing with substance use. Some of our activities allow individuals in recovery and their loved ones to join in the process together. Our ‘family’ includes important loved ones. Our participants identify these supporters and are welcome to invite those they choose.
Our events also create opportunities to build new relationships. These activities and programs are free.
You can take part in our programs even if you are getting services like counseling, medication, or case management through other programs. When you call to discuss services, we can talk about how to coordinate your recovery work together.
Recovery Is All Around Us
For many individuals, recovery includes living a full life in their community.
Our project supports this goal with a variety of in-person events at different locations throughout the community. We also provide virtual options to make joining an online community easy, comfortable, and convenient.

Recovery Is Community NPWA is a grant project through the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program
(RCORP), working to increase access to evidence-based treatment,
prevention, and recovery supports for families struggling with substance
use.
We are building upon community resources to make a positive impact on individuals, families, organizations, and our communities.
